| Hi This is the service One or (26ct263i think from the old site) back from a long absence due to being struck down with Oncology cancer that is cancer of the bone and i was taken into Huddersfield Royal Infirmary urgently in jan 2018 where i stayed until March the same year and the released into bed care for another six months with no get up and go at all and put on chemotherpy utill about jan 2020 after which i was told i was looking good but didn't feel it and one a new blood test i was informed the cancer was back so now on to a new experimental treatment which at present is working ok not like the original treatment which left me in a not good way so things are looking better time will tell.
Anyway the origin of service one is because i used to be a mobile service engineer both In Palma de Mallorca from (1971 to 1985) to back in England before i retired at the moment i am only running Mobile with the multimode Albrecht AE6110 and the hand held 446 mobile doing duty. If possible would it be possible to recover my original call sign but if not a new call sign would be acceptable. Thanks in anticipation Norman | |

| Hello Norman, welcome back to the forum.
I'm sorry to hear about your health buddy, you've definitely been through the mill mate!!! I hope that the treatment you are receiving gets you back to good heath as soon as possible.
I have managed to find your old call sign from the original site it is indeed 26-CT-263. The only difference is you have moved QTH from Tilbury. I have popped your call sign in your profile for you.
Best 73's Gary.

| Thanks everybody and I’m pleased to have my original call sign back I can’t get out and about due to the state of my immune system I’m only allowed to go for my treatment on Tuesdays clad in mask and gloves but it won’t be forever I hope.
