| Advice and opinions please on call sign pronunciation I received my call sign yesterday (many thanks to admin for a super quick allocation) I've also asked this question in reply to my allocation in my first post in the introduction section so forgive me if I've repeated myself (I'm also new to forums) So is there a correct or acceptable way to identify myself Is it 2-6-Charlie-tango-3-3-8-8 or 26-charlie-tango-33-88 I'm thinking allthough the first option looks long winded it actually holds fewer syllables so i think I've answered myself but throwing it open for a response in any case Many thanks for your replies and oppinions Kippax Andy | |

| Hi Andy, I say it in all different formats but most commonly "Two Six - Charlie Tango - 1-8-3-6"
As long as the receiving station can understand and log your call sign there's no right or wrong way.
