Latest Buxton 2020 News: Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic we have had to cancel this year's Buxton date. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Hi all, I tried to get a call sign about six months ago, but got totally bogged down in registering etc, so I don’t know if it ever happened! So I’m trying again with a fresh name and have possibly re-registered. I’m Old School, started around 1980, got my full A licence in ‘85, with lack of time & disillusionment sold the lot 10 years later & returned to ham radio about a year ago. Last summer it finally sunk in that digital modes have taken over the amateur bands, so I’m now back on 11 metres! I usually use the call 26SW214 of the South West Group. 73s,
I enjoy freeband & midband SSB hilltop work, got a couple of decent perches about 10 miles west of my home in Barnstaple up on Exmoor. When conditions are favourable I can just about get into London. Maybe catch you one Thursday on the Southern Counties net.
