| For those who may not know this website here is a link for Sunspots, Solar flares etc, A good information guide for DX openings, Although we are at the Solar minimum right now the new solar cycle begins next year reaching its peak by 2025.

| Thanks for this Steve, interesting stuff. We really are in the doldrums at the moment! Roll on the upward part of the cycle.

| Hi gary, Yeah its a bit duff mate at the moment to say the least, Yes great website, Updated daily, The good thing about it is that If there has been a solar flare it gives a very good predicted date when it hits the earths atmosphere , One way or the other you either get a blank out on communications or it works in your favour. Theres also this site, Even a lot of my Ham friends didnt know about it neither do many others, Sporadic E season and tropo forecast. Hope it helps to anyone.

| Looking at the indices I'm glad I scrubbed my plans to go out portable for the day. Just had a look at the clusters and nobody is reporting much in the way of propagation so far. Air pressure chart doesn't look favourable either for good terrerstrial prop. Chores to do and then pub! | |
