Subject: Which SSB radio? Sun Dec 06, 2020 5:17 pm
Have a budget Midland CB in the pick up. Want to upgrade to a SSB unit. What are your recommendations? Thinking Alinco dr135d (DX10) or are there better options?

I'll get in here before someone else does , be careful some say PJ Box is a bit of a horrible seller ie: if anything goes wrong with anything he sells he doesn't like doing anything about it, I myself have brought stuff from him and not once had a problem always good always prompt with delivery, but I thought I would mentioned it before somebody siad it first, TBH I've heard it's his Mrs who is the the main miserable one but obviously he would back her up with anything. PLEASE DONT LET THIS PUT YOU OFF FROM BUYING .

Alright David, i bought a CRT 6900n for sideband ages ago now and has worked for years, my dad wanted to know what all the fuss was with SSB as he was still only on muppets and picked up a Alinco dr135d turns out is basically the same as mine but has a few extra features as being able to change the colour of the display and some other bits and bobs, works fine for him and when i had a go pre lockdown it was spot on.
