Morning and thank you for adding me to the site, I hope I'm posting in the right place. Some of you have already had QSO with me on the Southern Area SSB and 446 nets but here's a bit of an introduction. Been on 11m since about 1979 (40 ch am) then on FM 27/81 since it came in. Started SSB DX and been a memenber of Knight Patrol International DX Group since around 1986 . Lack of skip and house move and work slowed it down a bit and then I started using 446 and discovered the Mon night net from a handheld! )thankyou Ray!!) I suddenly realised I wasn't alone and there were people out there without the skip working so have been joining the Thur night SSB net when and where possible, good to hear 11m alive and well so have put a spare ssb radio back into the car. I drive about sometimes for work so listen and call on 27.555 usb and if nothings happening on ssb will have a listen out on 27/81 FM channel 19 Like everyone looking forward to an end to lockdown and the warmer weather to sit in the car on the Downs without freezing, must get a better mobile DX set up than the mag mag mount. As always, looking forward to QSO with the Thur net, until then 73's and I will be listenning and calling on 27.555 USB will hopefully catch some of you via that.
