Hi , my name is john and I live near Newbury , West Berkshire. An avid CB'er back in the 1980's I have recently bought a new rig and am busy completing the installation with a base station aerial. At the moment the airwaves seem very quiet - may have something to do with the mag mount mini car aerial on a metal cabinet door in the roof of my garage . I did catch one burst of skip with a station in Norway talking to a station in Germany so a CT call sign will come in handy ! Hope my set up will get out far enough to catch at least a few CT members and once funds allow I may upgrade to a SSB set up. Any advice when I run into issues will be gratefully accepted - I will make sure I post them here . Thanks for reading if you got this far . John

Hi John,
Don't worry about your call sign confusion, happens to the best as they say (I often start something, stop for a bit, go back and then forgot everything I was doing! )
Well done catching a bit of skip on your temporary mag mount setup, just think what you could do with a bigger antenna!
Feel free to ask any questions you might have, there's plenty willing to help where they can.
