Hi all. I've acquired a Midland Alan 42 (see the other thread with that title) and the accessory fitting that has the 2 cables, 1 with an so239 and the other with a car cig lighter plug. I'm working on fitting it on my push bike for some radio fun/exercise on the nearby hills. I'm going to look into fitting a 3ft Firestik to the metal pannier rack, and have the head unit on the handlebars. The battery will sit in the pannier. I just don't know which to get? (and a charger for it too) also the female cig lighter that I'll need to make the connection. so can anyone point me in the right direction please. Any links would be useful and appreciated. Rig is 4 Watts and I'm hoping to be able to run it for about 2-3 hours. I know there are guys on here that do SOTA /POTA ect, so hopefully you'll be able to help. Thanks. 73's Dale CT3550

Cheers for that Firetrap. What are the containers called that the batteries fit in? Do I need power poles or can I just wire it to a female cig lighter connector to marry up with the male one I have? Cheers
