I have thought about a calling frequency and/or QSY frequency for when you switch from 555, I've seen a lo of other groups have a group frequency and I looked here for the TC frequency but there appears to be nothing, there's one for FM which is ch34 but nothing for SSB. Thoughts?

Hello Robert,
I think it has been mentioned in the past. The biggest problem with having an ssb group frequency on high band, close to t5, is that when the skip is running it will be difficult to use, with the sheer volume of stations working on the band. You cannot go further up high-band as that will encroach on the UK40 frequencies, causing interference to operators on there.

Yes, I agree, Martin. If we had a group ssb calling frequency, it should really be on mid, so operators wanting to stay legal can get involved. I think we would still have the same problem as high-band when the skip is up. If legality is not an issue, using a channel on low band would be preferable for working in all conditions.
