| Lovely motor Sam, Back in the early 2000's I had a Daimler sovereign double six, it was a 5.8L V-12!!! I still think it was the best car I ever had but the petrol bill was outrageous! I had a unit on the sevenoaks way near you at the time and would blast up Leesons hill like it wasn't there These days things are a lot calmer I drive a Toyota Prius now. Not so exciting but does 70+ MPG Unfortunately the calissics are a bit of a money pit but that's the price of an ear to ear grin!!! 73's Gary. | |

| Yes it is Hydrolastic , we had to buy our own pump to pump it up, because we don’t have anybody who does it around here. | |

It`s great you took the time to restore it, there can`t be many of those left on the road!

| Very Nice Sam!
I cant see a mobile aerial doing that car justice somehow! I wont ask how much to fill the tank to the brim but I am guessing a fair bit!

| Loving the Mini @Morris and Wolseley @Brandon...
My Father had a 1300gt back in the 80s and that thing was great fun..
Gary..Yes the double six is a beast for sure and i remember being in a XJS 5.3v12 and watching the fuel gauge return to empty as the loud peddle was pressed...but 70+mpg in the Prius is amazing. The wife has a nearly new Toyota Aygo for short trips and 60mpg is the usual figure,i own a track car (Alfa Romeo 3.0v6) as well but it needs some fettling for this summer season.
@Trevor.. I can easily sink £100 into the tank and that isnt full so i expect about £130 would be a fill to brim but cruising i do get nearly 30mpg but the temptation is to take it on some lovely A roads and watch the fuel disappear..and yes it wont be having a rig in there with all that leather and walnut to scratch..

| Fully restored this. Worst mistake ever selling it. What was even worse is the guy sold it 3 weeks after buying it. Would've given him his money back if he'd let me know. No idea where it is now, no longer showing on DVLA. | |
