I have just tested full power tx output on a rotel 240 I bought used.
It reads just under 10 watts on full power tx.
I would very much like to reduce the watt to 4 please.

Could someone please tell me which adjustment pot it is please and if I'm correct in thinking to reduce power will be anti clockwise turn please.

Half power is 2 watts also ,does this sound correct or should this too be reduced to 1watt maybe 1.5 watts please.

Why people do this is beyond me ,I'd rather reduce it than loose any internals on the classic.

Thank you

Full power should be 4W, low power should be 0.4W. You'll find that when you reduce the full power the low power will probably reduce to around 0.50 to 0.8W.

Inside the shielded area at the back of the radio you will need the correct trimming tool to
fit inside the coil. L9 AND L8 will reduce the output. Once you are happy you can set the radio to low power and adjust RV5 to set this to .4w

The output stages are T2 T3 T4 Then L4 L8 and L9

You may have to then adjust the TX on the meter when you key up the radio this is done by adjusting RV4
