Hi all,

I Have been looking for a DPMR for a little while now.
After a little proces of elimination; Icom and Kenwood to expensive. Hytera's advertise as DPMR but use a the dmr TDMA protocol so that's a no go. I came across the Polmar Digital Work and the Midland D200.
Both are almost the same in possibilities and later modifications, if I want to. (disconnect antenna and power fix)

When I came across a dutch online shop wich offered the Midland for 108 euro (+-95 pounds) the decision was quickly made.

The set will be arriving wednesday or thursday, but I have two questions, if someone can help pls ...

Q1. Does someone have the Midland PRG 10 software, or knows where to download it ?
The set is preprogrammed for 8 analog and 8 digital channels (ch 2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16). As I already have a analog pmr, I like the 16 channels to be digital. I already have the programming cable, so don't like to buy the kit. (softw. and cable are together in one kit)

Q2. What is the 'calling' channel on dpmr ?
On analog it is channel 8, but is there a channel assigned on dpmr for general calling ?

Hi. Ivo. :pirate3:

All the best for the New Yr. I too have a Mid. D200. I have used it a couple of times whilst Filming for Local
Charities. I am taking it back to Nevada to have it programmed. Also picking up a Alinico DJ- MD40 which will
TX /RX between 400mhz /480 MHz only by the dealer. Also when it has been released by Yaesu a FTM 3207 as
Homebase/Mobile using 10/15ele Yagi's. Maybe in a couple[3/4] yrs on the high we could link up on PMR? I saw
a post in the London area they are planning to start a Net for DPMR on ch. 13. Good Luck. 73s Mike Yeovil SW.
