Hello all. I was given a load of radio gear including a York radio, which still works. I have treated myself to a new Thunderpole T 2000. I am using the same coax and antenna that I have used on the York radio. The SWR is around 2. I have tried all of the channels on the radio and can only pick up lots of foriegn voices across all the bands. Which channel should I set when driving around Ireland? I cannot seem to pick up anything local, so its either I am doing something wrong or there is no one to listen to.
