:hi: Lewis and welcome to the CTDX group m8......................

Is it just for mobile use, personaly I would have it modded to get the other frequencies. If it's at home I would look for a bigger antenna. But I don't know your situation and if you want to stay 100% legal.....................

Hi Lewis,
If you only intend to use the radio for FM, either UKFM or the CEPT band, then it's a great radio, because it is well known for having fantastic loud punchy audio.
If you are looking to use it across the 11m freebands, on USB/LSB then it can be a little awkward to use as you need to keep pressing the step button. You can unlock the clarifier on these, so moving the clarifier to get on the zero's, still a bit awkward although again it has good audio.
It is not a 'legal' radio anyway, but it is a good one.
You might find something like one of the anytone 5555 (or one of it's many clones) easier to use, because once programmed, you can have the channels go in 5Khz steps, meaning no fiddling with a button or clarifier is needed.
I'd have a Deltaforce, I like them, but I would use it for one particular job, and not as a jack of all trades.
The antenna you mention, is regarded as one of the best mobile antenna's available, so if you are only operating mobile you can't really get much better than that.

All CT members are expected to use good operating procedure, good manners, and be friendly...Please do not chat on any calling frequencies, or use bad language on air, thank you it is appreciated.
