That sounds great, I talked briefly with someone named John in Lakenheath Saturday on UKFM 19, but that was it.
For the net I'll be in my truck trying to find what higher ground I can in this area with the 4 foot firestik mounted to the bed rail. It works well so far from what I can tell, SWR of 1.2.
This weekend I will start building a 1/2 wave wire dipole to experiment with setting up in different configurations...horizontal, inverted V, vertical...
Good to hear there are so many of you guys in the Mildenhall/Lakenheath area!

Nice one m8, if your out and about away from interference we should touch bases. Speak then m8. Have you tried your radio near your home to see what level of interference you get ? If im honest i wouldnt hear barely any stations trying to operate from my home, hence why i pop out static mobile. A good cheap antenna for home would be the legendary T2LT mounted on a fibreglass flagpole. Good for sticking up beside the car when out too. If you search you tube and put in T2LT you will most likely see Gary 104 video on how to make one.
