It sounds rather expensive for a standard UK / CEPT radio....you can get a similar one for about half that price (search on e-bay for "CB radio" and sort by price). If you can stretch your budget a bit I would recommend a multi-mode radio such as the one in the link below. It will do everything a standard UK / CEPT radio will do plus a lot more. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CRE8900-10M-11M-MULTIMODE-AM-FM-USB-LSB-CW-MULTICOLOR-DISPLAY-USB-CABLE-DIN-PP-/191933905589?hash=item2cb026fab5:g:57AAAOSw-vlVjWpQ |

If you are quick, Nevada were advertising an Anytone 5555 B grade for £99.99 last night on their website - just missing a bracket. |

Thanks for the info guys lots of knowledge on here! I don't mind spending the extra money that CRE8900 looks like a cracking radio for the money. How would the grant 2 stand up against the CRE8900? |

I've got both.....they are both good radios but the CRE 8900 (in my opinion) is the best.....its also approx. £60 - £80 cheaper than the Grant, depending on where you buy it from. If you buy it from here (link below) you will also get the USB cable included.....some other sellers want you to buy it separately. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/302027329542?lpid=122&chn=ps&googleloc=9046593&poi=&campaignid=620865095&device=c&adgroupid=27378760866&rlsatarget=pla-181484350386&adtype=pla&crdt=0 The software is free from various websites....just search for "CRE 8900 software". Edit....although the link above says no USB included, mine did come with one from this seller. Edited by pagan, Friday, 9. September 2016, 11:05.

The software can be downloaded here free: http://www.cbradio.nl/cre/CRE.htm An excellent manual comes with the radio but you can also download one from the link above if you want to "swot up" before you actually buy the radio. |
