Charlie Tango DX is a group dedicated to Hobby Radio Users in all forms, whether CB, Amateur, PMR446, Scanning and Short Wave Listening.
We are a very active and friendly group that welcomes anyone from anywhere in the world who has an interest in Radio, regardless of their level of experience, their equipment, their location, or their radio preference. We have members varying from fully qualified operators on the Amateur Bands, to newcomers who have just bought a PMR446 set, and many CBers both old and new. All are equal on the Site.

The CT Site contains many reviews, tips and modifications within the forums, and we take pride that no sensible question is ever left unanswered, and nobody is ever belittled or mocked for asking an honest question, no matter how simple it may seem. We were all new to the hobby once.

Yes I know repeaters aren't everyone's cup of tea and yes I know Facebook isn't either, but I thought I'd try to drum up some activity on this fantastic yet very quiet repeater by providing a focal point of interest.

Please join the group if you are interested

This repeater may be of use to those of you attending the Buxton bash meet up later this month

Hi Jake, GB3HH is programmed into my 2/70 rig here in Lincoln, I get about S4 from it, and can access it with 10w no probs, but as you say, it is a bit quiet most of the time, I think every time I've had a QSO through it it's been the same guy, M?DDD if memory serves! Cheers forvthe FB info, I'll take a look. 73.
They say hard work never killed anyone..........but why take the chance?

Hi monster,
The Facebook group already appears to have caused a flurry of activity this evening which is promising. Already heard stations from the Manchester area and a station from Rugby on there getting into the box perfectly.

M1DDD is usually mobile around Derbyshire and does call in quite regularly, but until now, the only other regular is George in Buxton M1DOP.

I think it's a great shame that such a good repeater gets so little usage, hence the Facebook group.

My hope is that maybe, if we can get enough people and get organised, there could be a weekly 'Buxton net' on the repeater as well as more activity in general.

With such a huge coverage area uniting both west and east sides of the Peak District, it should make for some interesting QSOs.
