Once again the chance to head for high ground and ping some signals around the Country , this is a contact / DX Net for those wishing to log as many +100 mile contacts ( as seen on the placement card ) as possible in a controlled environment .
It's all about the receive and power is not the issue , if you can't hear them_ you can't work them !
Hoping for better weather and Tropo conditions than in December and although I think we all had a great time with some cracking results it only ever reached around 25% of its potential in my opinion . QRM from Europe may be a problem and the Net(s) may have move to different channels at times around the mid-block on USB.
I will be calling out from the Mendip Hills Somerset , at around 6pm on the 5/3/2016 and hope to make contact and be able to pass around as many as possible.

just a bit of a bump as only a week to go now . One of the most important aspects of this type of NET is patience , not only because it may well be quite for you whilst long distance contacts happen in another part of the country but also for conditions to become fa'vourable for you to make that long distance contact, and it was all credit to the lads up North who came back for a second /third bite at the cherry to make some great contacts back in December. :thumb:

Lol, I'd love to put several blue lines heading in your direction on the map Al
(as everyone means a contact over 100miles on the net ) although 1 mile 10 or 100 its all good and meaning the airwaves are being used.
Hope we can encourage some from the east of the country to have a go aswell with Tim over in Heteford he should bring them in.
Kevin
Thanks for doing the map thingy ;)

Lol, on the coax, Al. :D

It is a beautiful sunny day here. Not a cloud in the sky and the snow is melting. The main roads are open again, although the side roads will take another two to three days to clear, as they don't plough/grit them. Hopefully I'll be able to get parked-up in a lay-by or something. :)

Good luck to Kevin and everybody else trying on the Net.
