Sad news received from Ian 163CT252...

Mike Heal, the "Pipelayer" passed away as a result of a long illness on 22nd December 2015. His activities on the CB over almost, if not more than, four decades are well known to most breakers in the South West and South Wales areas and his dedication and enthusiasm to the use of CB could not be surpassed.

The funeral will be taking place at Sedgemoor Cemetery (between Bridgwater and Highbridge on the A38) at 11:30 UTC/GMT on Wednesday 6th January 2016. His partner Freda would greatly appreciate it if all who knew or QSO'd him, who can attend, would join her in sending Mike off in style.

Sad to hear the loss of Mike.
I have had many an enjoyable conversation with Mike whilst parked on top of the hills of Somerset during the Papa Lima Net on Saturday evenings.
You will be sadly missed Mike.
My thoughts go out to Mike's wife Freda and family.
The Cherokee, Steve.
