Hi. Does anyone think it's possible to inadvertently make an omni directional Antenna perform in a narrow band width by using too many mast poles. I currently use 6 1.5 meter steel sections and a skip master and either end of the 27's has started to go higher now she's above the house. Many thanks

Well my imax is at approx 80ft off the ground on a tower and its worked fine at the many different heights its been at. Perhaps something at your antennas height is causing issues

Ground losses with a lower mounted antenna can give more bandwidth but it also results in less gain so its a kind of trade off. You'll get more gain getting it up to a wavelength or more but may find the bandwidth narrows. |
