Copper wire antenna

Hi what is the best way to connect two copper wire together .... Soldering on electric connecters.

As far as electrical connections go, soldering is always the best. That being said, electrically, it isn't actually that much better than using electric connectors.

Also it is possible you may need to consider other factors. If it will be something like an elevated antenna wire supported only at each end, the connection needs to be stronger than a simple soldering of two wires together. Solder is a soft metal even after it cools. In such a case, if physical strength is required in the connection you want to do some research to make sure you solder the connection in such a way that it can bear the load it must take.

Well I just made a very long multi band dipole antenna, I connected the two sides of the dipole and the coax in a simple cheap chockblock and covered it with ducktape and its working fine, Ive used chocblocks and ducktape before without any problems but I do agree that soldering is probably the best way but if it works it works. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wH0RNlr9cqE

Last time I used chockloc and ducktape and took it apart after a year it was dry as a bone
