I am strongly thinking about getting myself an SSB radio but I am on benefits so don't really have a lot of cash, so what kind of SSB radio would you advise I should look for taking into account that I am on benefits.

All the best and 73's

Best value is deffo the Anytone5555 / Maas or K-Po DX5000 (or any one of the other identical radios with ta different name).

You should get one for £50 although it might be a bit rough, £70 will get you a good one.

If the crowd around here on benefits are anything to go by you should be looking at IC 756 Pro3. :censor:

My statement is FACT, there are operators locally who have never worked as long as I have known them which is now 30 years plus. They have IC 756 Pro 3's, IC7000 and IC7400 as back up radio's.

I wasn't having a go at anyone (sorry if it appeared that way) I was merely stating what the :censor: not so well off :censor: have around here.

Probably got no carpets and curtains but you can bet your bottom dollar the 50" telly will be there!
