Hey folks.

T2lt and 10m pole has arrived today, t2lt only has a foot of cable on lower end so I need to buy a 10m patch lead. Ive noticed theyre all male connectors on both ends so I need a connecter. Had a search round and came up with a PL258. Is this correct?

also when out and aboit with mast and antenna up, does this connection need insulating? Ie wrapping in wet weather
:thumb: cheers

10m isn't really a patch line, it is your feed line - the line that feeds from your radio to your antenna.

The PL258 is the barrel connector, to connect two PL259 together.

Get decent feed line, not RG58, it is quite lossy up around 11m. RG213 is best, but not always feasible and expensive. I would go at least with RG8.

Yes,
I would personally get RG8x from Nevada, it's very good quality, fairly cheap, and delivery is quick :thumb:
They sell good quality PL259 to fit the coax (it is slightly different thickness to RG58, so needs slightly bigger internal diameter PL259 plugs).
If you don't fancy soldering them on yourself, I think they would fit the plugs if you ordered over the phone and asked.

The T2LT is a brilliant antenna, I use mine from EU/CEPT all the way to the top of the 10m amateur band, it has a good SWR all the way.
Over the winter, with the long F layer propagation, I managed plenty of contacts in south America, and the USA with it, using only 10w transmitter power :)
