Hi I have just got one of these radios and they are great. They are solidly built, function and perform well. I was wondering if anyone else has this radio and what there opinions are. Mine is connected to an Solarcon A99 aerial and it seems to pick up the stations without difficulties. Thanks for your replies. William |

Hi will, what bands are you using it on? An A99 will not be much good on 2m or 6m, are you using it as a receiver only?how many antenna connectors on the rear? Fm |

Brian If I remember right, that Wouxon is virtually a clone of the Yaesu FT8900 and has just the one connector. If I was going to use one, I would split Ten Metres off with a duplexer and have a dedicated aerial for that band. Will, (Not sure if you have a Ham license or not) when you get the foundation license, get a triband vertical and use that with the Antron Cheers, Tony |

Hi thanks for the interest I am using it for the time being as a scanner. I have listened to someone in Hamilton New Zealand talking to someone here in the UK on Thursday night but it was Friday in New Zealand. I may be wrong I can hear others talking on 144.52500. Thanks for the advice regarding the aerial I will follow it up. |
