Hi from Byro (Barry) in Sheringham Norfolk
Please could i have a Call-Sign Allocation?
Been into radio from a right early age, SWL, then got my first GE AM rig in 1979 when I passed my driving test,
first car I got was a Rover P6 3.5 V8, I think that would be a big no go nowadays with the cost of insurance!
passed my Amateur radio exam in 1989, issued with G7FSI, quite active on all bands, but not over keen on contesting.
Great news for CB radio... and about time, I had some great fun up to 1989, my main rig at the time was a Cobra 148 GTL DX, was a great radio, antenna at the time was a 1/4 wave Skylab.
Nice to find out about this site via 'Southgate Amateur Radio News' well done all
Thanks from Byro :)

Hi Barry,
Welcome to CT DX group.
Thank you for the intro, I suspect the old rover would be classic insurance these days, and very cheap ... although the price of fuel would destroy you :D
I was also a big fan of the Skylab antenna, and had several.
Good luck with the call-sign, and working on the new legal modes,
Nik
