Thank you very much, Jeff!! I do hear quite a few Canadians here in Detroit, including all the way to Nova Scotia one day with atmospheric skip, so I'll look out for your ID on the air. During skip conditions here, many hundreds of miles are the norm. A clink of the glasses to you too, sir! 73 Jeff, and have a wonderful evening. Erik 2CT094/ NO8Z |

Good morning, Brian! Thank you for the kind welcome. This is a very informative site with a great group of radio operators of every kind. Never a shortage of good reading here...especially the technical articles. 26CT965's videos (Jason) on YouTube actually drew me to the place. Radio and extreme confrontations with nature...can't go wrong with that combination.! lol Blessings to you, and wishing you the best of DX! I do believe cheers are in order... Thank you, Brian! |

HI Erik, welcome to the CT site, glad to have more members around the globe to try and chat to. Hope to find you somewhere , mainly on 18,12, 11 or 10 mhz as they are easy for Portable. Andy 591/P M0PXY |

Hello, Andy! Right now, my radio pursuit is limited, as I'm trying to find a new place to live. A lot of my radio gear is also being stored, right down to the code keys and connector cables. I hope to be on the HF bands, at least QRP (ala WG0AT) in no more than a few months. That should give me access to every band HF and VHF (with the exception of 160M) My life might be turning right-side-up again this year, but not without the darkest hour before dawn... To follow up on your point about portable bands, I would like to do some hill-topping, inspired by Jason (26CT965), and get out in the air and the weather with the bands you mentioned. When that happens, I would like to announce where I'll be and when to try to reach CT and CTX members around the globe. Very exciting, and it keeps my hopes high. Thank you, Andy, for the warm welcome, and I hope to reach you on the air very soon! Blessings to you...and... lol Wishing you a wonderful week... |

Greetings to you, Robert! Thank you for the very kind gesture of welcoming me to this fine organization of skilled and well-mannered gents. I consider it an honor. I'm very proud to use the call sign that I have been assigned here on local 11 Meter channels. It will be my 11 meter/FRS/GMRS (What you over there call PMR446) call sign for life. It is not often that the words "sunny" and "Scotland" can be used in the same sentence, from what I hear, so let's drink to that! lol Thank you, Robert. Hope to hear you on the bands very soon... |
