Hi All,

Dragged the family up one of our local hills today, and the CB for a listen, and a chat as it turns out on the Sunday DX Net to Jason CTX965 & to Gary CTX104 where I managed to thank Gary on air for his T2LT video.

Our location was Coombes Rocks just above the village of Charlesworth, approx' 10 miles SE of Manchester, just 4 watts into a T2LT and roughly 108 miles to Jason (4w T2LT) & Gary (4w Dipole), which just goes to show what QRP can do in the right location.

Here's yours truly...

Here's the radio - a Midland 98 powered by a brick (7ah Yuasa)...

And here's a short video - not of the qso unfortunately (will be more on the ball next time out) - but of Jason & Gary just prior to wrapping up. Wish I'd recorded Gary's 10-000 incident as that was really funny & wonder if Rescue Helicopter Crews post videos on Youtube? ;-D

Cheers for running a great Net guys - will make the effort to join in more often /P

Thanks for posting up there Ian. You were also sounding top notch down to us.

My location was the Black Mountain,(703m ASL) on the England Wales Border http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Mountain,_Wales

Using a midland portapak and the T2LT. Its a good spot to the north from there!

Not sure if I have any video but will post up if I do.

Great job! :thumb:

122 miles to Charlesworth according to Google Maps from my location on Waun Rydd, so a great contact indeed. By the end, my noise floor had dropped and you were up to R5 :thumb:

I'll see if I can find some video of the low-level Search and Rescue helicopter :D
