Hi all.

I'm looking for a really simple to use Air band Tranceiver (not a scanner) for genuine and legal use for my work place. We have all the relevant CAA and Home office approvals for full air band frequency use, so it must be able to transmit and receive on the Air band between 108-137 MHz.

I need 2 and they must be mounted in desk chargers, shower proof, back lit for use at night and with easy to read digital display and about 5-10 programmable memory channels will be fine.
They will only be used on 2 or 3 frequencies at most, so having 200 'memory' store etc isn't required, neither is some of the other 'Gucci' add on's.

I have had a look at some of the Icom radios on aviation equipment websites, but they are all far to complicated for what I require.

I thought some of you Guys might know some good places to start looking.
If I leave this to my Employer, we'll end up spending Thousands for something that is not fit for purpose and will have to complete endless paperwork to put it through the procurement system ..... So we might see them in 12 months time.... I need them within the month. I will be circumventing the 'system' by buying them on my company Credit Card and signing it off myself !

Any guidance would be grately appreciated.

Thanks guys. :thumb:
Maybe tomorrow I'll find my way home....
