You have all heard of the album series "Now that's what I call music!" and you read the list of tracks and go "UH?"
Here's your chance to tell us all what "Floats your boat"

Here's my first shot, kind of sums me up, lol

I had a bit of a thing for dance music from around 1996 to 2001

This sort of thing was on pretty much constantly.

How about The Band - Stage Fright?

I have this on LP, cassette and CD. Somehow missed out on 8track!

Found out last year or maybe before that I can download pretty much anything I want off YouTube, code it into MP3 with Free Studio by DVDVideo Soft. Must be easy if I can do it.
Using a much-loved dinosaur of a SS360FM, Teardrop, Sirio ML145 also when parked up for a bit a full size 1/4-wave vertical whip or one of those big silly double modulators on a magmount size of a dinner plate.

Also - new SS3900, old screwed-around SS360FM for backup, and a 6 band P.Jackson #1 - in perfect unmarked condition.

Totally unmessed-with Mk2 148.

Loft mounted 1/2-wave horizontal dipole for monitoring flatside signals.

Loft mounted 1/2 size G5RV for HF work.

Working on various antenna projects with GRP poles as supports.

Ian,
The way YouTube encodes music, means that it is compressed and downgraded in quality to save bandwidth, so if you rip it, the end result is always pretty poor.
I am not going to condone or encourage the downloading of music free, that doesn't pay the artist and copyright holders the royalties they expect, but there are some safe malware free programs out there that some people use to get any track or album ever released, and 99% of the time they are 320kbps MP3, or even .flac or .wav files (which are basically lossless CD quality).

Just lately I have been collecting late 60's up to mid 70's Funk/Soul/R&B, and discovered literally 100's of new artists I have never heard of, like :

And some classics like :

This is brilliant I reckon :

I've always liked the Pentangle song, but couldn't stand Pracatan for more than a few seconds :censor:

Been playing Rumours in the van this week, and this is my favourite song from the album.
Just love the ragtime style fingerpicking that Lindsey Buckingham does on this track, its so beautiful, and Stevie Nicks harmonising is awesome.
Sometimes you don't need a wall of sound and over complicated production, when such a simple arrangement can be so powerful ...

Thanks for this John, never heard of these guys before, but it's always fascinating to see something different.

I was a huge raver from 88-93, and a DJ, and thought this was a very nice twist on late 90's Ibiza tunes :thumb:

thats good that Nik maybe could do with just one main drop in it as it sounds as if it has two drops and maybe put a snare builder in after the drop instead of diving back in with the main beat and sound just my opinion.I like break beat you never hear it now,ive just bought myself a pioneer ddj sr controller to mix the 35,000 mp3,s iv got saved on my pc i already have a m-audio torq xponent but thought i,d get a newer bit of kit.
