Hello again Michael, the multi use radio service, MURS, is for use in the USA and Canada as far as I know. It uses something like five or six channels, around 151.8 to 154.6 Mhx, and 2w output. I would think you'd be inviting a visit from offcom if you started transmitting around those frequencies, anyway, I doubt there would find many other operators using it in the U.K, but I could be wrong! :RTFM:
They say hard work never killed anyone..........but why take the chance?

Andy is right Michael stay well clear as I was reading on another site about a group of lads in and around a large northern UK city (wont say where or who as I dont want to give them any credit or followers) using those frequencies for some very ilegal activities which they are involved in, because of this it has atracted some attension of both the police and ofcom, there ia also some other idiots playing around on 148mhz (now space and aeronautical) via old non digital police HPs who are on the radar to be stopped.
Stick with 446 fsr and if you want more contacts link it with the free FRN client software on a PC or laptop we have users all over the world popping in for a chat every day.
Stay safe mate
Phil
