Welcome to the official Charlie Tango DX Group CB And Amateur Radio Forum. You are visiting the UK's biggest and most active CB Radio club.. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Charlie Tango DX is a group dedicated to Hobby Radio Users in all forms, whether CB, Amateur, PMR446, Scanning and Short Wave Listening.
We are a very active and friendly group that welcomes anyone from anywhere in the world who has an interest in Radio, regardless of their level of experience, their equipment, their location, or their radio preference. We have members varying from fully qualified operators on the Amateur Bands, to newcomers who have just bought a PMR446 set, and many CBers both old and new. All are equal on the Site.

The CT Site contains many reviews, tips and modifications within the forums, and we take pride that no sensible question is ever left unanswered, and nobody is ever belittled or mocked for asking an honest question, no matter how simple it may seem. We were all new to the hobby once.

Evening all,

Am Matt, 29 from Telford Shropshire. Am interested in shooting and 4x4s and curious about the radio world. I currently own PMR and I volunteer with Saint John ambulance so operate and there vhf and UHF and have a Realistic Pro-62 scanner.

Before I invest my very hard earned in a CB are there any users in the area as I don't want to be sat talking to myself :'( also is there anyone local who would be kind enough to help me get started with some over seeing of my set up as I am really lost with the setting up and also get lost in the tech talk ?

Many thanks

Matt

Hi Matt, welcome to what is without doubt, the friendliest and best radio forum available today, always plenty of good information and advice for radio enthusiasts of all levels, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

With regard to equipment, it would very much depend on what you want to do i.e. DX'ing (using atmospheric conditions for long distance international) copies, or just local working. check out the pages within the forum and feel free to ask questions, i am sure you will receive the best advice, good luck and enjoy.
