Charlie Tango DX is a group dedicated to Hobby Radio Users in all forms, whether CB, Amateur, PMR446, Scanning and Short Wave Listening.
We are a very active and friendly group that welcomes anyone from anywhere in the world who has an interest in Radio, regardless of their level of experience, their equipment, their location, or their radio preference. We have members varying from fully qualified operators on the Amateur Bands, to newcomers who have just bought a PMR446 set, and many CBers both old and new. All are equal on the Site.

The CT Site contains many reviews, tips and modifications within the forums, and we take pride that no sensible question is ever left unanswered, and nobody is ever belittled or mocked for asking an honest question, no matter how simple it may seem. We were all new to the hobby once.

If you join Charlie Tango you'll be able to access member-only sections, and use member-only features such as customizing your profile, sending personal messages, voting in polls, viewing modifications and more.

Yeah been into cb very long time back in early - later 90's i once had cb licence handle Plastic man if anyone remembers me i used to be from Redcar
i remember all thunderdomes antenna's and JP's and pinched 40 foot scafolding posts and poles from rugby fields along railways ;) when was back in me teenager years. i had lots eyeballing with girls back then.
i used to have cb on push bike and me dad was called Rambo on airways and me brother was named Electronic man if anyone remembers them. and the gangs of cb days also i remember astrofighter the echo mic dude if anyone remembers that name the baseball gang hehe. cos they came round me house once.
the memory's of them days i some how since i left home back in 2001 i stopped using cb's some how and recently back in 2011 i have only just got back into radio's using scanner and then computer sdr's doing lot of meteor detection stuff learned about frequencys and antenna's at moment have 118mhz J-pole i use for airband spectrum and 144mhz Yagi HB9CV i use for meteor detection space stuff's got some help from radio engineer and odd listen to local ham dudes.
and had to get tranciever so got a harvard-407 got it given all way from southampton. works aswell apart from need to get new mic sometime easy get one from maplins. and antenna for cb i just used online calculater and made dipole antenna in loft out of thick copper wire. but wil eventually one day get proper antenna or make slim jim drop down sometime.

antenna made at moment on cb is picking up local morrisons taxi dudes
talking on cb channel 10 yep thats what i pick up the channel 10 taxi users.
i live near james cook hospital middlesbrough.

also got into pmr's got 2 walkietakies the binatone terrain 750's and i have picked up some charlie tango user dxing on it
thats why joined your site to try get call sign and i could make contact back.
