Hey Folks
Can anyone tell me how I can grow a CB radio in the Loft?
Apparently lots of people know how this is done.
CB radios appear and disappear regularly "in the loft".
These statements check this out mostly found on ebay but other sale or wanted sites as well:
" I found this in the loft after 30 years" "
" I put this in the loft ages ago and it "was" working". Ive taken it out of the loft now."
" This has been in my grandfathers loft and looks brand new and unused" (id particularly like to know how to grow one of these!)
" Just had a clear out in the loft and discovered this radio. Cant remember much about it"
etc etc etc etc etc

PLEASE....Whats the secret!
I look in my loft every day and ...Nothing!
Hows it done?
Please!

I keep finding CB's in cupboards/loft etc.. lol, I used to buy them from boot sales, clean them up and sell them onto my dads friends at work for their trucks, I kept a lot of the good ones, I just kept the little midland 78plus for in the car, and all the rest went into storage, there's so many I forgot about :-) i'd never sell them though

Here is my system. The radios are necessarily hidden in the special "hydroelectronic" watering mulch. I can grow a "mint" Lincoln with 50W output and original box in about 4 weeks. The electricity bills are large and I do worry that my house is the only one on the street that had no snow on the roof all winter.

My son cleared out the loft for me before xmas to have it insulated and a pd-8500 base station turned up.

I must of bought it but don't remember when, it doesn't power up but I really don't remember buying it, it must of been a bootsale item that went into the loft for later and later never happened.

I think you will find that it really is not as easy as some of the ebay sellers would have you believe. Cobras, for example, require very exact temperature and humidity to get a pure 148 and if that temperature drops by even two degrees it can cause a Cobra 19! On top of the Temperature and Humidity Control, of course ALL CB Trees require Hydroponic Lighting, constant controlled watering and special feed (I believe handful of Ground Capacitors daily, with 3 grams of powdered transistor once a week is the recommended program).

So you can grow a small Cobra Bush at home, but it takes a bit of work and planning and it is not a case of "Chuck a few Cobra Seeds at a Grow-bag and wait".

If you want to Grow Jentecs then I believe they're what is called a "Sport" of the common 148. Sometimes called a "Hybrid". The usual way is to add some Liquid-Nugent to the growing compound and hope for the best. If you get it right, one or two of the crop may turn out to be "Sport" Jentecs.

Allegedly, there is one ebay seller who has managed to grow a PURE Jentec tree behind her cooker as she has sold about a half dozen that were allegedly "Found behind the cooker". She claims she "knows nothing about CBs but knows a man who does" and I THINK she lives in a bit of a growing community because we have also seen ebay listings for high-spec Cobras that "the cat brought in" (obviously the cat has found these in neighbourhood growing patches).

As far as I know, Cobras do not grow in-the-wild in the UK.
