Got to admit that, despite Pollyanna's efforts, the Gadget Show just isn't quite the same without Suzi. JUST IN CASE SOMEONE SAYS "WHO THE HECK IS SUZI PERRY?". GP ON THE LEFT AND GADGET SHOW ON THE RIGHT. ![]() Suzi Perry is an English television presenter, best known for covering MotoGP for the BBC for 13 years, The Gadget Show on Channel 5 for 9 years and the BBC's Formula One coverage from 2013. |

Sigh........... Now have to watch MotoGP on Eurosport, and I very much doubt that Jack Burnicle has a chassis of that quality!! Saying that, Eurosport is definately the home of Bikes. Their coverage is second to none. The Speedway GP's are fantastic entertainment, The British Superbikes are the best home grown racing event in the WORLD, The world superbikes are fantastic and the Moto GP is phenominal, especially with Cal Crutchlow showing the factory riders how it can be done with an old machine, and then you have the CRT bikes!! Engines from mainstream manufacturers, and frames etc cobbled together in a garden shed!! And best of all, it's all on one channel, British Eurosport!! That's why I won't pay for Sky Sports! |

Well, I must be the only one who is actually interested in the F1 championship, and not just the presenters ![]() What a good race in Bahrain, lots of skillful overtaking which makes a change from 5 to 10 years ago when F1 went a bit stale. The drivers & constructors championships are wide open, and I am really excited about the next few races. Yes vettel (yawn) is still driving the (just about) fastest car, but it is extremely close in the top 4 teams, with the next 3 teams also closely behind. Good on Paul Di Resta for his brilliant race, I can see him in a much better car next year. |

Must confess that I went right off Seb when he pulled that overtaking stunt on Webber after Mark had turned it all down in compliance with Team Orders. That was totally out of order ,and saying "Sorry" with a smirk on his face wasn't an apology, it was a request for a proper Australian, Roo-dropping, haymaker. IMHO. My opinion of Webber went up ten points because he didn't smack him and wipe the smile off his face. . . . It was especially unwarranted as it is (probably) Mark's retirement season. I used to admire him as a hell of a driver and a pretty good guy, but his head seems to be growing even faster than his Trophy collection. Compared to Seb, even Schumacher in his Prime was self-effacing, modest and bashful. I enjoy a bit of BTCC too but the races are so short that one mistake or one minor problem and you've lost it. To me, part of the excitment of F1 is seeing one of the top boys climb through from the back after a Pit cock-up or a minor spin. |

I don't mind a bit of F1, but have to admit I am the sad cardigan wearing, pipe smoking bod who enjoys the support races more (?). I too like the BTCC. Actually, any form of racing this is home grown (except those pesky pushbikes!!) is Ok with me. I'm off to Brands for the the Nascar event, truck racing (hugely amusing), BSB and if I can, I wan't to get to a BTCC race. My main reason for my love of Brands is that it's fairly close, about an hour in the car, and the events are always well organised. The ticket prices are also a bit of a bargain. Me, the Mrs and three kids went to the BSB and it cost......£44.00. For a whole days entertainment!! And the parking was free!!!!. I used to spend that on one ticket to a footy match!! Where else can you get an all day event, with thrills and spills and an element of danger for that money? We've even been round all the pits looking at the bikes before a race for a couple of quid more. A couple of years ago my two boys met Shaky Byrne, Leon Haslam, Micheal Rutter etc...The guys they met actually gave them the time of day, and were really down to earth. Great Day out, Great Venue and most of all.....AFFORDABLE!!! |
