I was only 9yrs old in 1981 but many forum members remember the 'hay days' well.

I found this whilst trauling through the web this morning, it's similar to many articles that have been posted through out the net but I enjoyed reading it.

PS: I watched Convoy last night!!

It certainly brings back lots of memories of "illegal Cbing" in York back in the early 80s...there was a huge CB presence in York back then..There was a bit of interference in York too with the hospital equipment ..BUT all the guys and gals knew about not transmitting when ANYWHERE near YDH (York district hospital)
I remember too all those CB mags..What CB Breaker mag etc..In fact I think I bought most of em!! happy days not too serious but great fun all the same!!

I have Convoy and Smokey and the Bandit on DVD. Love them both for different reasons. Another film I've not seen for a very long time is Citizens Band. Very cheesy and very seventies. Worth a watch though.
