I recently installed some centre loaded whips on my car which
led to all sorts of noise problems when mobile. After following
lots of good advice from k0bg.com I reduced my noisy
mobile HF environment an awful lot.

My sad tale is below in pdf.
cheers, adonis

Yep, I'm getting there.

I'm also wondering about using the new K40 mobile antenna (see TobyJug's thread on this forum).
I'd change the standard whip for something longer and also stick a caphat on it and see
whether I can get it to resonate on 17m or even 20m?

I dont know what happened to my post last night, oh well never mind.
I echo Wayne's post, it wasnt sad at all it was inspirational!
Amazing what can be done when you're in "Anorak Mode" hihi.
This proves the old HiFi maxim "Melodies heard are sweet, noise unheard is sweeter"
Post your PDF to Alan (K0BG) he just might be interested to hear
Well done anyway, Ellis
