I found one of my old log books from the early eighties yesterday and it brought back some great memories. I wonder if any of these are still around? Nice one,i was looking through my 1980`s and 90`s qsl cards at the weekend and wondered how many were still on radio or even with us still (silent key) many of the stations i spoke to were in their 50`s and i was around 13yrs in the early 80s. Does make you think where all that time went

Was also looking at some old qsl cards, its obvious that there was no computers at the time, many were hand drawn and photo coppied, a lot in black and white. I made a point of collecting cards from Indiana at one time just because we have friends there, seems a bit of a weird idea now lol. Al |

I think my first distance copy and QSL exchange was when I was about 11 or 12 from Desert Rose in either Jersey or Guernsey. I'm pretty sure it was Guernsey. I was using a Fidelity 2000 and a magmount on Dad's van and was SOME excited Happy days indeed. Anyone else remember Desert Rose?
