Looking for a easy way to heighten and lower the Antron within a few mins, must be able to bolt to the house and perhaps a winding mechanism ? Something simple and doesn't have to be a huge, probably up to 30-40ft. I have the poles to get the antenna up high but would cause problems with neighbours (again) if its up there all the time, plus I like to lower my antennas for the high winds we get off the sea. |

To be honest i'm a Welder/Fabricator by trade and I think you would struggle to make one for £165 so it seem a good price to me. LOL @ cracking his van too......a bit of a dumb thing to show

Very impressive for the price indeed though I have no room for a tilt over, would have to be straight up and down. |

Extension ladders make decent antenna masts. They can be rigged to tip over when mounting the antenna, then stood up straight and extended to full length. A section of pipe attached to it can add extra length to your mast. With guys already attached it is a quick simple way of getting higher.![]() The mast pipe can be mounted to the ladder in such a way as to be extended for more height, also. The ladder is mounted to the 4x4 post so the bottom can be released for tipping it over. Pipe mast at lowest level, ladder tipped over, mount antenna to mast pipe. Tip ladder up and secure the bottom clamp. Extend the pie to max height. Extend the ladder to max height. Secure the bottom ends of guys that are already attached to upper mast pipe (not shown in drawing). Based on the length and the strength of the mast pipe and the ladder, great heights can be achieved. After reading of a fellow who used a 40' extension ladder against his house as a mast This idea occurred to me as a possibility. He would raise and lower the ladder according to how weather threatened. On another forum where I also posted this a member responded:
It is great to hear that his idea has been put to real time testing. Edited by HomerBB, Monday, 7. March 2011, 23:56.
