This is my friend Penn G0VQY ,a licenced Ham comparing his Step-ir ( a £1000+ tunable monster yagi ) against the Sirio Gainmaster.
He is running around 180 Watts SSB and working South Africa (ZSS) with ease on his Icom IC7800 HF radio on the 12 meter amateur band.
This shows what a good bandwidth this antenna has, even if tweaking it slightly with a tuner http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMw3sZPrFWA&feature=feedu

Small World, I was out mobile calling CQ the other night on 20m, when Penn came back to my call, we had a short chat then break station called in, it was a ZS station, so not only were we talking inter G, but DX as well, funny you should post a vid of him :D It was a little later that night that I worked ZL, very strange conditions that night

I'm confused. Why compare a 'monster' yagi with a Sirio Gain Master? Not very like for like or maybe I'm also missing the point.

maybe because it is interesting, some people just like to test things and see the results
without really caring what they are, its part of the hobby for me

I think the point was it does work on 12 meters Ham bands.......now this is how I see it.
I won't be trying mine against an £850 Optibeam neither.

Worked ZD9 around 1/2 hour ago on 12m and it works. 100w the swr was 1.6 so all ok,,, but better where nature intended it on 11m
