You did well to get up there Bob!

So on a good day, it's possible to get right to the very top? - if so, no wonder you always end-up in the Chair - what a good spot!

Cheers
Gary

To be in the "Chair" or to be in the "Chair" on a channel or frequency is to be the co-ordinator when there's a number of stations participating.

We have a few "Nets" and "Link-ups" that run regularly or just happen on the day, and these have a Chairman to keep things running and make sure the QSO's run in an orderly fashion and bring in QSK stations.

Poor Bob usually ends up being in the Chair as that spot is a very good one, and he booms out over most of the UK!

Cheers

Thanks for the kind comments. Getting up there was not a problem, just needed to keep moving and be gentle with the throttle. Front wheel drive helps even though I dislike front wheel drive cars!

I also dislike being in the "chair". But then again what can you do! It is a great spot for DX.

The antenna Taff is actually very short. In fact 99.9% of the antenna is in the picture! It does however perform very well for what it is. Paul is fed up because I had it off him :D

It was a fantastic day and I took quite a few more pictures. Still prefer to be up there in the summer mind. Need a beam!

Looks like a Les Wallem "Modulator" or a Thunderpole copy..like the one I use on my Punto.......not in the same quality wise i'm afraid. The other antenna looks like a Sirio 4000 (red Band) a superb antenna that performs well and is of top build quality..........nice mobile set up Bob!! ;)
