If you've a nice wooden desk with all your radio kit on, stick a nice thick mouse mat under the PSU, amp or any other kit with a transformer in - it'll stop nearly all of the mains hum being transferred to the desk. Cheers Gary |

ohhh there is nothing worse than a bleeding hum cut up some thick under lay for the psu as it sitts inside the desk there was no nead for it to look good

LOL No....I just forget to reply back then. I always have my PSU on a layer of bubble wrap and mouse mat on the lower shelf of my desk. Laptop cooling mats are also good, they draw heat from all radio equipment including linears, radios, PSUs...try it! ![]() |
