Gert lush those old Cybernet boarded FM radios - I have a York 869 and a Harrier CBHQ, both with the Mids added, and they work well indeed.

Cheers

I've sold nearly all my 40ch rigs to pay for my new antenna - just 80ch FM and SSB radios left now.

Oggy - which UKFM radio are you using at the moment? - Uniden 300, Murphy or York 869?

I doubt it's the Murphy as the hum is just too much - shame, I love the look of them.

Cheers

Just sold my Murphy.

I did bypass the internal 230v PSU on mine and ran it on 13.8v, because the hum was just too much (even after adding some extra shielding around the transformer).

It was a different radio after that, and the new owner is very pleased with it.

Glad you're using the York as I've always been a fan of the Cybernet boarded radios on FM - tidy buy that was.

Cheers
