Papa Lima Net on EU 28 on a Saturday night from 9PM.

Thanks to PL59 for the QSO this evening - the net has stations from all over the West and Wales.

I'm also aware of a net run by a group called "The Homesteaders" on UK27 on a Wednesday afternoon.

Anyone know of any other nets running?

Cheers
Gary

The Ch32 DX Net is gaining in popularity - 40 stations some weeks (2pm to around 4pm UK Ch 32 on Sundays) - a big net this one, covers Midlands, East, West, South, South Wales and more.

The Papa Lima Net is still active (9pm to late, EU Ch28 on Saturday nights) - South Wales and West

Homesteaders Net still active (UK Ch 27 every Wednesday afternoon 1pm to 4pm) - South Wales and West

Northumberland Net active on Channel 38 UK40 - don't know of specific times or days.

If anyone knows of any other regular CB nets, or is thinking about getting one going, please post them up here.

Ray CT519 in Dorset is looking to get a regular net going on UK CH32 on Saturday evenings - I copied him last Saturday from North Somerset and he's getting out well.

The Net should cover parts of Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire, S.Wales, Cornwall and Hampshire.

When possible I'll update via the Shout Box when the Net is active, but have a listen out on a Saturday night in any event.

Hi Rob, sadly cb seems to be devoid of life here in East Kent. Only know of one other guy besides myself thats on locally. Have recently packed away my little Cybernet cos it would sit here all evening and nary a peep out of it. On rare occasions might hear someone over in Ramsgate, but they always seem to be squelched right up so couldn't hear me. When there is a bit of skip on, they suddenly come out of the woodwork, oh well. I wish we could turn the clock back to the days when there would be half a dozen different nets going on any evening.

The south east side of the UK certainly seems to of suffered the worst with the decline in CB use  while it all seems to be picking up over the west side with some healthy nets throughout the week

A new CB net will be starting on Sunday 27th on UK FM Channel 26 run by Sean (Tank) in Mid Wales.

Start time around 6pm to 7pm so as not to compete with the Sunday DX on Ch32.

I have only heard a few guys one of which acts like a right hooligan anyway, hope to catch you soon.

They can be a bit quick on the Key John, no wonder you struggle to be heard, plus i know one or two suffer with PLT so anything under an S7 can be hard to hear for them.... I will let them know that you have tried once or twice to break in.

There's a group of CBers in the outer isles here who link up each day 2 or 3 times for a chat on UK channel 40. Most of them are retired and have been on the air all the way back to legalisation I think so some interesting stuff on there sometimes. 8am - 9.30, 5pm (sometimes) and anything from 9pm - 11pm. No handles or call signs, just first names and nothing formal by any means.
