:@ Aaaarrrrgghhhh Nooooo! Not an Echo Chamber! Noooo, please! :@

There was some wombat Muppet on the triple-five yesterday with an over-blown Echo, turned to the Max, and beyond, and then some. He sounded like he had a speech impediment, and was TXing with his head in a tin bucket, while standing in a bathroom, in a railway tunnel.

C Q Queue, cue, cue, cue, ue, u, u, u - C Q Queue, cue, cue, cue, ue, u, u, u - Deee, ee, ee, ee, e, e, e, e, X s, s, s, s, s . . . .

My head was ringing, just listening to his CQ call.

Nice Galaxy you have there though. :) And the others are nice too, but that Galaxy is a corker.

I have a Melos stored away along with all my other gear.I run a Uniden 300 and the best Muppet radio ever ,a Magpie Autoscan 5000 built here in the UK in 1983.Its nice to find some guys like me with a passion still for CB Radio. :)

I remember the front page of "CB - Citizen's Band" magazine having the Magpie Autoscan 5000 on the front page in 1983 - shame they got into it just as the bubble burst.

I wonder how many were actually made.

What was the other radio that was made in the Uk? - I forget the name.

Cheers

Look at my video (M0ogy in Youtube search ) and you will find out!!!!!.I own both plus all the magazines. The Magpie was about 500-800units and the other (Rarer radio) was the EMS Mercury 1040.....never seen another one other than the three on the cover of CB Radio magazine in early 1984 (I think!!). :o

Nice set up porky. The Galaxy is a nice radio. Also you have the Uniden 300 which i'm a big fan of. I see you've put Uniace 300 for yours but it looks to me like a normal Uniden 300. The Uniace has a grayish strip where the vol/sql etc is, check my pic in the other thread. ;)
